The author of this website is Golda David. Currently a Masters of Education student at the University of New Brunswick, Golda is in her first year as a Principal. She got interested in gamification in education at the Google Educational Technology Summit this year.

Golda in Thailand
When Golda was living and teaching in China, she hopped over to Thailand for a surgery that couldn't wait until she returned to Canada. (She survived. Everything is fine). This is her, right before surgery. A Tuk tuk driver took the photo.
